Country singer-songwriter and actor Rob Mayes released the greatest country single of his career thus far, and it is titled “4th of July.” The actual release date on this federal holiday is quite fitting. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

Mayes’ rich, rumbling vocals are reminiscent of fellow country crooner Brantley Gilbert (“You Don’t Know Her I Like Do”). He is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable. This song ought to be enjoyed for its beauty, authenticity, and simplicity. Mayes co-wrote the song with Steve O’Brien and Justine Blazer.

In a post on social media, Mayes expressed, “Guys! Wrote the best song I’ve ever written – So stoked for this one and would love it if you might be willing to pre/save for me?! It really makes a difference in Spotify’s decision to playlist editorially!!@JustineBlazer @steveob123

It has been resonating well with his peers and fans in the music industry. In fact, country star Billy Currington posted that song on his latest Instagram reel in honor of this year’s 4th of July festivities.

“4th of July” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. It garners two giant thumbs up. Well done.
