Sam Myerson spoke with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about the “Layover” vertical drama (Super Punchy Studios) and the ALZA Festival.
ALZA Festival
On being a part of the ALZA Festival, Myerson exclaimed, “We are here in New York, going to a premiere, and it’s exciting. There is no denying that. It is a lot of fun. I am excited for everyone to see this film.”
‘Layover’ film
Myerson, in particular, loved “the cast” of Layover. “This is my fifth time working with Nicole Mattox,” he admitted. “It is always such a pleasure. We always have such a good time together. I genuinely feel like we had such great comedic energy together. So, I am excited for people to see this.”
“Hopefully, this will make people laugh… we will see,” Myerson added.
Playing his character in ‘Layover’
When asked what he loved most about his character, Myserson said, “I loved his neurotic nature. He is nerdy in the best ways, but so am I, and I just got to have fun with it. He is wacky and he goes for what he wants. I hope some people find him lovable. It was just so much fun and I had a great time playing him.”
Super Punchy Studios
Myerson praised the team over at Super Punchy Studios for being “fantastic” to work with.
‘Rival Hearts’ vertical drama
Myerson also had kind words about working with Antonio Andres Rosello in “Rival Hearts,” the vertical that deals with the World Cup (as they face off over Nicole Mattox’s character). “Antonio was great! We had a lot of fun. He is such a lovely and sweet guy,” Myerson said.

In January of 2026, Myerson graced the cover of Hollywood Hills Magazine, thus starting his year on a high note. “That felt great… it was a nice honor,” he enthused. “I loved that they did that feature on it.”
