Isaiah Martinez chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about representing New York in Mr. America Global pageant, which take place in Washington, D.C. in late August of 2025.
Mr. America Global
The Mr. America Global competition is more than just a showcase of style and presence—it is a transformative experience designed to empower participants with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to excel both personally and professionally.
On competing for Mr. America Global, Martinez said, “It is incredibly humbling. The opportunity to be a part of an organization that champions mental health awareness is particularly significant to me. In today’s world, open conversations about mental well-being are crucial, and I believe this platform provides a powerful voice to reach a wide audience.”
Representing New York
On repping the state of New York, he stated, “Representing New York, a city synonymous with global influence, carries a tremendous responsibility.”
“I aim to showcase the city’s dynamism and its commitment to diversity and progress,” he added.
Daily motivations
On his daily motivations, Martinez shared, “My daily motivation stems from a deep-seated belief in self-empowerment. I strive to overcome challenges and inspire others to do the same. Each day presents new opportunities for growth and positive impact.”
Advocacy
On his advocacy for this forthcoming competition, he said, “My advocacy for Mr. America Global centers on human development and personal growth, especially for young people. My past experience mentoring youth and teaching dance profoundly shaped my understanding of the importance of positive guidance and creative outlets.”
“It fueled my current project: establishing a community center providing educational resources, mentorship, and crucial mental health support to young people. This project is incredibly close to my heart, and the platform of Mr. America Global would allow me to amplify its reach and impact,” he elaborated.
Future plans
Regarding his future plans, he revealed, “My future plans involve continuing my work as a fashion model and actor, but also expanding into the realm of motivational speaking and creating my own talk show focused on personal development and mental wellness.”
Why he should win Mr. America Global
When asked why he feels he deserve to win Mr. America Global, he said, “Winning Mr. America Global would represent more than just a personal achievement. It would signify the power of perseverance and the idea that one’s background doesn’t define their future.”
“It would be an incredible privilege to represent America on this stage and leave a lasting legacy of hope and inspiration for generations to come,” he added.
Success
Regarding his definition of success, Martinez said, “Success, to me, is defined by personal fulfillment—achieving a sense of purpose, building meaningful relationships, and living authentically.”

Martinez expressed, “I hope people see Mr. America Global as more than a beauty pageant. It is a platform for men with purpose and integrity, men who are committed to making a significant contribution to society and leaving a positive mark on the world.”
