Acclaimed designer Hayley Paige has paid a moving tribute to her father, who is battling Parkinson’s. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

In a beautiful post on social media, Paige has penned a poignant tribute to her father, who is battling Parkinson’s. “My dad has always been the strongest and hardest-working person I know, especially now as he faces both Parkinson’s disease and advanced neuropathy. He continues to show me what true courage looks like, and why choosing to be in a good mood can be one of the best decisions you make,” she said.

“We believe that decades of operating on his feet as a surgeon may have contributed to the neuropathy — a kind of quiet badge of honor for a life spent helping others. Yet the Parkinson’s diagnosis has felt far more uncertain. There is still so much science has not yet mastered: how to ease it, how to slow it, how to help families navigate the emotional and physical toll. Even so, we meet each day with hope in progress and deep trust in the power of people caring,” she elaborated.

“Conrad and I are honored to serve as Co-Chairs for the @michaeljfoxorg 2026 Palm Beach Parkinson’s Luncheon this March — raising awareness, funding research, and supporting families who deserve answers sooner. Tables and tickets are officially on sale now. We would be so grateful to have you join us or contribute in whatever way feels right for you,” she expanded.

Paige continued, “Growing up, my dad and I watched ‘Back to the Future’ many times, which makes this partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation feel especially serendipitous. Years ago, I met @realmikejfox at a charity poker tournament — my first ever. He leaned over and said, “Hold your cards. Let the others play loose and fast. When you’ve got a fairly decent hand, play hard.” I listened… and somehow came in third place which was pretty dang cool 🥹.”

“That moment has always stayed with me. Patience. Perseverance. Belief in better odds. I love the idea of bringing those odds closer for everyone living with Parkinson’s. I love you dad, and I am so proud of you,” she exclaimed.
