The synopsis: After catching her boyfriend cheating, Hannah (Cayla Brady) swears off love, until a chance meeting at a bar changes everything. Her “white knight,” an older man named Christian Baxter (Cody Bruno) makes her laugh and feel alive again, and at times, seems too good to be true.
Their summer fling turns passionate, but when Hannah discovers he is her father’s best friend, her world shatters. Now, she must choose between her heart and the fallout of forbidden (age gap) love.
Cayla Brady is bubbly as the naive yet courageous Hannah, and she works well opposite a charming Cody Bruno as Christian. They have great chemistry together, and their affecting rapport allows for more resonance.
Anya Ruoss portrays the vindictive and manipulative Jaqueline while Jacob Ryan plays the nefarious Adam, both of which are characters that fans and viewers will love to hate. Tatiana Piper convincingly plays the vixen ex-wife Cate, who is a revelation. Amira Kouidri is Cayla’s voice of reason as her good friend Lily.
This new Vigloo vertical drama has multiple plot twists and turns that will keep the audience engaged. It garners two thumbs up. Well done!
