The synopsis is: Determined to save her mom from another bad relationship, a teen accidentally turns a luxury vacation into total chaos. It was directed by Melanie Scrofano, and it stars Sofia Bush, Jerry O’Connell, Violet McGraw, Tim Rozon, Clara Alexandrova, Dawian van der Westhuizen, and Max Botha.
“Summer’s Last Resort” is an absolute blast from beginning to end. It perfectly captures the fun, chaos, and heart of a summer vacation while delivering plenty of genuine laughs and emotional moments. What could have been a simple family comedy turns into a surprisingly touching story about love, growing up, and learning to let go.
Violet McGraw is fantastic as Summer, bringing the perfect mix of wit, determination, and vulnerability to a character who’s convinced she’s protecting her mom from another bad relationship. Her performance feels completely authentic and makes you root for her even when her elaborate schemes spiral hilariously out of control.
Sophia Bush is equally wonderful as Milly, Summer’s nurturing mother, where she balances warmth, humor, and heartfelt sincerity with effortless charm. Jerry O’Connell adds endless comedic energy as Glenn, making every scene he’s in even more entertaining, while Tim Rozon is a hoot as the flirty and hilarious Captain Otto… Rozon’s scenes opposite Sophia Bush are sheer bliss.
