Veteran actor Michael Vaccaro chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about being a part of the second ever VertiCon, which will take place from August 21 to 23, 2026, in Culver City, California.
On being a part of VertiCon, he exclaimed, “I think it’s going to be fun. I’ll be there Saturday night for the Verties, and on Sunday I believe I’m doing a meet-and-greet, photos and autographs, and a panel. So I’ll be there all day Sunday.”
“I will probably be drinking heavily,” he jokingly laughed. “Overall, it should be a great weekend!”
Vaccaro is thrilled to be nominated for several awards at The Verties. “I am nominated in a few different categories. One is essentially similar to ‘Best Supporting Actor,’ and then I’m nominated for what they call the ‘older person’ category. I am also nominated for Ensemble Cast for two shows,” he explained.
“I believe two shows I am in are also nominated for Best Vertical. There are a lot of different categories,” he enthused. “While I was not a part of VertiCon last year, one of the shows I was in (where I was one of the leads) won for ‘Best Vertical of the Year’ and that was awesome!”
“It was called ‘Oops! I Married My Enemy’ and I was in it with Noah Fearnley and Ashley Grant. So that was really exciting,” he acknowledged.
Vaccaro told the fans about this year’s VertiCon, “I hope they come and have a great time! Bring money and bring alcohol. Seriously come and stay for the whole weekend and enjoy it. It’s going to be a huge 72-hour party.”
“I’m especially excited because I know a lot of people who are coming. I know I’m going to meet a whole bunch of fans who have written to me on Instagram and told me they’re coming, and that’s really cool. All of my friends are going to be there, too. We’re all friends now because we’ve worked together for the past three years. So having everybody there together is going to make it a really terrific weekend,” he elaborated.
