Actors Blake Manning and Hannah Lowery shine in the new vertical drama “Hate Notes” on CandyJar. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the recap.
The synopsis is: After the anonymous blog Iris (Hannah Lowery) uses to vent about her older brother’s insufferable best friend, Jesse (Blake Manning), is leaked to her entire school, Jesse enlists her help to find its author, not knowing that Iris is the one behind it.
Blake Manning is suave, witty, and natural as Jesse in this role (without overdoing it). Hannah Lowery is appealing as Iris, and it feels like watching “General Hospital” and she is our Eden McCoy.
Any time that Manning and Lowery are on screen together, their presence and chemistry are both magnetic.
The Verdict
Overall, “Hate Notes” is a sweet vertical drama that is easy to binge (41 episodes) and the best part is that it doesn’t overstay its welcome. It is yet another asset in CandyJar’s collection of vertical dramas. “Hate Notes” is worth checking out, and it garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
