Jack Griffo chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about starring in the new movie “Double Trouble,” which is in theaters as of toady, October 9th.

Shaun Paul Piccinino directed from a script by John Ducey. The synopsis is: When two quick-witted sisters suddenly find themselves entangled in a full-blown jewelry heist in Las Vegas, they must recruit a jaded security guard, survive bumbling henchmen, and thwart the mastermind behind it, all before their parents realize they’re missing.

How was the ‘Double Trouble’ premiere?

We had the screening premiere last weekend, and it turned out really well. It was a great night.

What did you like most about your characters?

I liked that my character was just a big jerk. It was fun to play that guy, and I just kind of leaned into it.

What did the screenplay teach you about yourself?

I think it taught me about family values. We all watch movies to escape our everyday lives, but when it’s a holiday family movie, I think the heart of it reminds you that the most important thing is family and the people around you. Sometimes, our everyday lives aren’t that bad.

What was it like working with Shaun Paul Piccinino as director?

Shaun Paul Piccinino is such a sweetheart. He did a great job, and it was great working with him. I’d love to work with him again.

How was ‘The Thundermans Return‘?

It was great. We had The Thundermans Return in 2023, then Thundermans: Undercover last year, and now we have A Clash of the Thundermans. It has been an amazing return to the character and the franchise.

What was it like working with Greg Rogstad, who played Krondor?

I love that guy. Greg Rogstad is a sweetheart. He did a great job as Krondor.

How does it feel to be part of the digital age?

It’s the age we are in. I think social media can be a good thing and a bad thing. It can also be dangerous. It’s kind of a double-edged sword that can be used for good or not so much, like anything else.

It is the age we’re living in. Now the digital age is turning into the AI age. It’s unprecedented and crazy times.

What’s the title of the current chapter of your life?

“Turning 30 this year, so there’s that.”

What would your superpowers of choice be?

I want Ant-Man powers. That would be really cool. That’s the worst power ever!

What does success mean to you?

It’s a deep question. It could mean a lot of things, but would go with fulfilled potential.

What’s your advice for young and emerging actors?

Do it for the love of it. Get in class, watch a lot of movies, and find actors, directors, and filmmakers that you love. Think about the careers you want to emulate, and get super specific.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Thank you so much for all your love and support.

People have been watching me since the beginning of The Thundermans, or even since my YouTube days, thank you so much. I really do appreciate the support. We do it for you, so thank you.

What was your favorite part of filming Double Trouble?

I think the music at the end, getting to perform in that theater. I’d been to a show there before, so it was a full-circle moment to be performing on that stage. It was definitely super memorable.

What’s the one thing you want people to take away from Double Trouble?

The most important thing is family. When you watch movies, you kind of want to zone out, but I think this movie makes us want to zone in a little bit on what’s around us. I think boundaries in life are good, but walls are bad. Walls are kind of a fear-based thing. So, bring down the walls and enjoy the people around you.
