On January 13, Emmy-nominated actor Paul Telfer of “Days of Our Lives” participated in a virtual fan event for Spectrum Celebrity Events.

A portion of the proceeds, benefits True Colors United. The nonprofit organization True Colors United implements innovative solutions to youth homelessness that focus on the unique experiences of LGBTQ young people. To learn more about this Spectrum Zoom event, check out their official website.

Telfer revealed that he still gets starstruck over some boxers, MMA fighters, professional athletes, and musicians. If he could bring anybody back to life, he shared that it would be “Bruce Lee.” Another living hero of his is “Henry Rollins.”

He paid a moving homage to the late but great John Aniston. “There is a big hole at work for sure,” he admitted.

Telfer expressed how proud he is of his wife, Carmen Cusack, and her most recent Tony nomination for “Flying Over Sunset. “That one was really special,” he said.

“Carmen is the best, you will not find a bigger fan of hers than me,” he said. “This nomination was special because the pandemic had killed the show, and it was a limited run at Lincoln Center. She did not think that a nomination was going to be in the cards, but when she found out that she got a Tony nod, it felt great. It was phenomenal. The first time that she got nominated for a Tony was there more pressure because ‘Big Star’ was so much heavier, and the show was still one. This time around, the show was already finished and there was less pressure. It felt more like a party and it was really fun. Honestly, I was so proud of her, she is the best because she did two Broadway shows and she got two Tony nominations, not bad, that was pretty solid.”
