Actor Luca Pietro sat down and chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos at Loews Hollywood Hotel about his latest verticals for DramaShorts and DramaWave.

In DramaShorts, he recently starred in “The Ballerina Who Fell for a Criminal,” where he worked opposite Jasmine Gia Nguyen.
The synopsis is: Eliza Vincent (Jasmine Gia Nguyen) has spent her entire life following the rules — until one unexpected night changes everything. When a chance encounter throws the disciplined ballerina into the path of Jacob Redd (Luca Pietro), a rebellious outsider with a troubled reputation, she finds herself drawn into a world far removed from her carefully controlled existence.
As family expectations, social pressures, and personal ambitions collide, Eliza must decide whether to stay on the path chosen for her or risk everything to discover who she truly wants to be.
“That was a solid experience, and I loved working with Jasmine… she was cool and funny,” he exclaimed. “That role was really close to home for me. We did it for DramaShorts.”
“That was the type of role that I usually like to play, which is the biker bad boy. I just usually have a lot of fun with that. I also loved the boxing vibe. It’s not so protagonist and I get to be a little rough and arrogant, which is fun in a role,” he explained.
DramaWave
His recent DramaWave vertical is “Provoking the Mafia Boss,” where he stars alongside Shay Dinneen and Tiffany Alvord. “I loved the intensity of ‘Provoking the Mafia Boss’… my character was very intense in that one,” he noted.
“It was great. I enjoyed working with Shay and Tiffany. It was a super solid experience. It was my first time busting out an accent, which was my New York accent,” he said. “I also really loved the bike… it was a very solid bike!”
“I didn’t watch much of it, I’m not gonna lie. I saw a couple of clips and I was satisfied. That’s all I needed to see but I did have a lot of fun on that one. It was short but sweet,” he admitted.
Lessons learned from these screenplays
On the lessons learned from these screenplays, Pietro shared, “I wouldn’t say they really taught me anything. Everything is a learning experience, so I did just learn more about acting in general, and about the craft. Every thing that I do is a new experience.”
Message for his fans about these verticals
For his fans, Pietro remarked about these two projects, “I hope you guys enjoyed them. I give my all in every single performance, and I really hope I put a smile on your face or made you believe me in some way.”
