Luca Zocche chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about the 2026 Fides Entrepreneurship Awards Night, which will take place on May 15th in New York City.

Are you excited about the Fides Entrepreneurship awards this Friday, what can we expect?

100% I am. 1 year of planning to get to this point. This is the biggest event we’ve put together for putting faith in the public eye. We have celebrities known mostly for their Hollywood careers speaking openly about their faith and with such a young crowd in the room, that’s going to be a night to remember. Being surrounded by good people to celebrate something this special makes it even more exciting.

How does it feel to have Sam Goodwin deliver the opening address?

It’s encouraging. Considering everything he’s been through the risks, the captivity in Syria, the adventures having him open the night with the lessons he’s drawn from all of it means a lot. There aren’t many people who can speak about faith under pressure with that kind of authority.

How does it feel to be honoring Jordi, Eduardo and Father Tormenta?

Each one has a unique story that shows how faith has carried them through hard moments and helped them do incredible things in service of it. Most people see the public image or the film and think that’s the whole person they don’t realize the engine underneath is faith. Friday is about showing that to the public eye especially in a city like New York.

What do your plans for the future include with Fides Entrepreneurship?

We want to keep bringing the greatest examples of faith and business together in a city like New York. Right now people think of the Economic Club of New York  where Larry Fink and Bill Gates speak as the place to hear serious business stories. We want to change that by building a place where business and faith are told as one story. If Mother Teresa were still alive for example, we’d ask her to speak as she was an entrepreneur led by her faith.

What’s the one thing you want people to get out of that evening?

I want them to walk out thinking their own visibility  whatever stage they’re on, in their career or their industry  can be used to do good in the world. Everyone we’re honoring is known for a role or a presence in Hollywood, and they’re proof you can live in the world, take action and still speak up for what you believe.

Is there anything else you’d like to add that we didn’t cover?

Just this: the impossible is possible. Father Tormenta is proof of it, a man who cared for two thousand orphans and somehow became famous in Hollywood without ever being an actor. If that’s not a sign that God writes better stories than we do, I don’t know what is.
