Stacy Haiduk sat down and spoke with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos at The Burbank Studios about her 2026 Emmy nomination for “Days of our Lives.”

She earned this nod for her portrayal of Kristen DiMera in “Days of our Lives” in this year’s “Lead Actress” Daytime Emmy category.

Regarding her nomination, she exclaimed, “I am very grateful for that. I was not expecting it.” “This has been a really, really good ride and a good journey, and I’m really grateful for it,” she expressed.

“It was the dynamic between Kristen and her daughter. It was really special,” she reflected. “The writers did me well there!”

It is a familiar theme in her Emmy journey. Last time around, Stacy and Eric Martsolf found themselves sharing the same reel for their respective Emmy nominations, once again centered around the complexities of family. “That was a really powerful Emmy reel as well,” Haiduk recalled.

“His character and my character tend to always fight over our daughter, normal families don’t do that… do they?” she said with a sweet laugh.

The latest nomination also carries an extra special reason to celebrate, as the young actress playing her daughter received recognition of her own.

Haiduk complimented Alice Halsey for playing her daughter. “Being able to share this milestone with Alice is pretty amazing! I knew she would do great. I had no doubt. I am so happy that she is now on ‘Little House on the Prairie. I am super excited and so proud of her,” she said.

On the greatest lesson that the acting profession has taught her, she reflected, “Just hang in there. When you feel like you can’t go on or that nobody wants you, you have to believe in yourself and pick yourself back up, and get back in the race.”

On the title of the current chapter of her life, she revealed, “Keep on Trucking.”

For young and emerging actors, she said with a sweet laugh, “Don’t do it.” “Honestly, I would say if you really want to be in it badly, then go for it, otherwise it has so many disappointments,” she said. “You need to love the rejections along with the successes of it all. It’s not easy but you need to plow through it.”

In the meantime, she is thrilled to be pulling double duty and also playing Patty on “The Young and The Restless” as well. “It is always a pleasure to play her as well. I love my characters. They are always fun, a little nutty, and a little out there,” she said.

For her fans, Haiduk said, “Thank you. Thank you so much for all your love and support. I am truly, truly grateful for it. It has been a journey and you have supported me along the way and I just feel honored, so thank you.”
