Actor Nick Barrotta opened up about Season 4 of “The Oval” on BET, where he plays the role of Allan.
“It has been mind-blowing,” he said about being a part of the No. 1 show on cable. “Tyler Perry is so incredible, and this has been a dream of mine: to be a part of a successful show. I am learning so much from this cast and Tyler Perry, and I am very grateful.”
“I have been really looking forward to this season ever since we wrapped filming it,” he exclaimed. “We knew it was going to be a really exciting season where the action is at an all-time high. We had so much fun shooting this season and that came across on-screen, and that makes things a lot easier when you are working together on set.”
He enjoyed joining forces with Taja V. Simpson’s character Priscilla. “Our cliffhanger last season left everybody excited for Season 4,” Barrotta admitted. “We had so much fun shooting together. Taja is such a force, and I have been a fan of watching her character and I enjoyed teaming up with her as Allan.”
In last week’s episode, Allan teamed up with Kareem (Matthew Law) and Dale (Derek Dixon). “That is a whole new narrative now,” he said. “I am excited to see how the audience responds to that tandem. Allan is making his rounds with all of these personalities, and he has a lot of new friends; hopefully, he can trust them. I had so much fun working with Derek Dixon and Matthew Law, we had so many laughs off-camera. It was such a pleasure working with them each day on set.”
For his fans, he remarked, “Thank you for watching and supporting. It is crazy to think that we are already in Season 4. Buckle up since the drama is at an all-time high. I am excited to see how the audience responds, we all have a lot to look forward to here.”
