Academy Award winner George Chakiris was recently featured on Power 98.5 Satellite Radio, where he was interviewed by acclaimed radio personality Steven Cuoco.

They opened up about Chakiris’ career in the entertainment business, his latest book “My West Side Story: A Memoir,” and his jewelry line.

Chakiris is best known for his portrayal of Bernardo Nuñez in the 1961 Oscar-winning film version of “West Side Story.” Bernardo Nuñez was the leader of the Sharks gang. Chakiris won both the Academy Award for “Best Supporting Actor” and the Golden Globe Award for “Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture” for his acting work in this seminal film.
