Social influencer Feroz Khan chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his career-defining moments. This Pre-K teacher behind the microphone discussed how he inspires millions with “What Do You Do for a Living?”
Norman Vincent Peale once said: “Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.” This quote applies to Feroz Khan.
Feroz Khan is an influencer and entrepreneur, who is best known for building his presence through digital content, personal branding, and business ventures.
He creates content focused on lifestyle, entrepreneurship, and motivation, connecting with audiences through authentic storytelling and practical insights. Alongside his work as a content creator, Khan has pursued entrepreneurial opportunities, using social media to grow his brand and engage with a broad online community.
On the moments in his career and life that have helped define him, he remarked, “There have been a collection of moments! I would say, I consider myself to be a pioneer.”
“I consider myself someone who likes to lead and someone who likes to set examples as well,” he noted. “Also, I’m someone who is changing people’s lives for the better. I think if you put me literally in any field or if you put me in an empty room, I guarantee I’ll come out of the room with something.”
“Each field that I stepped in has allowed me to find my purpose,” he said. “I am able to go ahead and change something. I will never forget this moment when I was interviewing someone.”
Khan continued, “When I was interviewing somebody, another person who was from behind, recognized my voice, and asked me if I am Khan. I told him ‘yes’ and the other person goes on to tell me that my Instagram page had saved his life. I asked him to elaborate and to tell him what he means by that.”
“He goes, ‘I haven’t talked to my brother in 10 years.’ I was like ‘really?’ Then, he tells me that I posted a video of him three weeks before, and he and I were trying to get in contact for a long time. I guess they weren’t fortunate in having phone access or whatever the case may be,” he elaborated.
“The brother tells me that they were able to re-connect,” he said. “It is incredible how after 10 years of constantly trying over and over, all it took was one video to see the smiles and to talk about a moment they could actually share, and that helped them get back together.”
“Now, they are finally hashing out the beef that the brothers once had and their problems and everything, and they were able to move forward,” he noted.
“His brother told me that it was all because of my Instagram video that we did together, and that meant the world to me, and I was blown away,” he said.
“So, ever since that moment, when I was there, I was like, ‘Wow, this is incredible.’ Now, fast-forward to what I am able to do right now, I walk down Bleecker Street filming my videos in the West Village, and my videos have been going viral, generating millions and millions of views,” he explained.
“It is all about grabbing every interview subject’s attention in 20 seconds. In this industry understanding people’s personalities and understanding how to read people can be quite challenging,” he acknowledged.
“As soon as I am able to read people and figure things out, then I’ve noticed that moments later, I am achieving millions and millions of views left and right. The best part of it all on social media is that you never know who is watching,” he elaborated.
“I have even had people from India flying to do videos with me in Manhattan, and then flying all the way back,” he noted. “I feel this is incredible.”
“I am just a kid from Long Island’s Suffolk Country, who graduated from Walt Whitman High School and subsequently went to Long Island University and Pace University. Now, I am pursuing things that I would have never even imagined,” he expanded.
“This is where I am at right now, and I am thankful for that,” he said, effusively. “Presently, I have a team of people working with me, and I am doing very well for myself.”
“I am making a good amount of money, but my biggest goal is being able to always help my family. My money is my father’s money, and my money is my mother’s money. There is nothing that I wouldn’t do for my parents,” he concluded.
