Acclaimed stand-up comedian Tony Dabas chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about his 2026 comedy shows at Governor’s Comedy Club on Long Island.

On his forthcoming shows at Governor’s Comedy Club, he remarked, “I’m excited to be coming back to Governor’s Comedy Club on October 16th and 17th at McGuire’s Comedy Club in the Bohemia/Ronkonkoma area of Long Island.”

“Fans can expect an hour of stand-up that’s very interactive and high-energy. I love talking to the crowd, doing impressions and accents, and telling stories from my life. If you’ve seen my sketches online, you’ll recognize some of those characters, but the live show is a completely different experience,” he elaborated.

On being the headliner this time around, he stated, “This something I’ve worked toward for over 13 years. I’ve gone from handing out flyers in New York City to headlining theaters and comedy clubs around the country, so every headline weekend means a lot to me. I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way.”

He opened up about his skit with Greek pop superstar Konstantinos Argiros. “It was a lot of fun,” he admitted. “Konstantinos was incredibly humble and easy to work with. We came up with a funny concept that fit both of our audiences, and it was great seeing comedy and music come together like that. Hopefully, we’ll get to collaborate again.”

Regarding his future plans, he shared, “Right now, I’m focused on building my stand-up career while continuing to make sketches. I’m also putting more time into filmmaking and producing larger comedy projects. The goal is to keep growing as a comedian, actor, and filmmaker while reaching new audiences around the world.”

On his inspirations for his comedic routine, he noted, “I am inspired by real life. I find humor in everyday situations and the people I meet while traveling. Growing up in New York in a multicultural family also gave me a lot of material. I love finding the funny side of things that everyone can relate to.”

For hopefuls that wish to go into acting and comedy, he remarked, “Be patient and stay consistent. There are no shortcuts. Keep creating, keep performing, and don’t wait for someone to give you permission. The more reps you get, the better you’ll become. Also, don’t be afraid to fail — every setback teaches you something.”

Tony expressed for his dedicated fans, “I just want to say thank you for all the support over the years. Whether you’ve been following my sketches or you’ve seen me perform live before, I truly appreciate it.”

“If you’re on Long Island, I’d love to see you at McGuire’s Comedy Club in the Bohemia/Ronkonkoma area on October 16th or 17th. Bring your friends, come ready to laugh, and let’s make it a weekend to remember,” he concluded.
