Actor Trevor Donovan is set to star in two Christmas film later this year for Great American Family. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop. These holiday movies include “Mission Merry Christmas” and “Christmas by the Spoonful.”
Great American Family has green-lit two holiday originals starring Trevor Donovan for their upcoming Great American Christmas slate.
He reunites with Jillian Murray in “Mission Merry Christmas,” produced by Mario Lopez and Trevor Donovan. He also stars alongside Jill Wagner in “Christmas by the Spoonful,” his second holiday movie this year.
Production for both films is set in Buffalo, New York, under Great American Media’s multi-film deal with Great Point Studios Buffalo to deliver more than 20 original films and series.
Jill Wagner, known for her roles as Kate Argent in “Teen Wolf” and Bobby in the Paramount+ series “Lioness,” joins Trevor in “Christmas by the Spoonful,” which is written by Riley Weston.
“Mission Merry Christmas” follows Michael Martindale (Donovan), a morning TV host in Buffalo, who teams up with a single mom (Murray) for a city-wide holiday toy hunt that becomes a story of community, second chances, and unexpected love.
Christmas by the Spoonful follows Beth Green, a meticulous café owner who returns to her hometown of Snow Ridge to help her parents run the Garland Inn during the town’s Yuletide Potluck, where a run-in with visiting First Sergeant Jack Evans leads to holiday sparks and second chances.
Both films will premiere later this year as part of Great American Family’s “Great American Christmas” programming lineup.
