Teen actress Violet McGraw chatted with #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos about starring in the new movie “Double Trouble,” which will be in theaters on October 9th.

Shaun Paul Piccinino directed from a script by John Ducey. The synopsis is: When two quick-witted sisters suddenly find themselves entangled in a full-blown jewelry heist in Las Vegas, they must recruit a jaded security guard, survive bumbling henchmen, and thwart the mastermind behind it, all before their parents realize they’re missing.

Filming ‘Double Trouble’

On filming “Double Trouble,” McGraw exclaimed, “It was great! Everything went well! I loved playing my character Willow. She is smart, techy, and a little bit dorky.”

“I love someone who is really good with computers, and she is really good at all these things, so it was cool to be really fast at typing and just be really smart,” she added.

Working with Preston Oliver and sister Madeleine

Her favorite part involved working with her sister, Madeleine, and Preston Oliver. “My sister worked with Preston on ‘Secrets of Sulphur Springs’ when she was very young. So, having us all in a scene and a movie together was insane. It just feels like I’m working with my best friends,” she said.

Working with Shaun Paul Piccinino

On working with Shaun Paul Piccinino as director, she said, “Shaun is super fun and he can actually dance. I would see him dancing in between takes. When I see someone dance, it is very contagious. Then, I started doing a little dance, and then it just goes down the line.”

“Shaun is awesome and he made the environment so fun,” she added.

ESX Entertainment

On working with ESX Entertainment, she said, “It was so amazing. I’ve been working with them since I was like five years old, so they’ve watched me grow up a little bit. I love them so much.”

The digital age

On being a part of the digital age, McGraw responded, “Social media can be both a good and a bad thing.”

Superpowers of choice

If she were to have any superpowers, it would be invisibility and teleportation. “I think invisibility would be really cool. You could be eavesdropping on someone’s conversation and no one would know. With teleportation, you would never be late to anything,” she said.

“That would make everyone’s life so much easier if we could just teleport,” she admitted.

Success

Regarding her definition of the word success, McGraw said, “Success means just having a happy life. Just continuing to do what I love with great people while doing it, and just staying happy, positive and enjoying life and continuing to do what I’m doing.”

Advice for young and emerging actors

For young and aspiring actors, she said, “You are going to hear the word ‘no’ a lot. You might think that you want to just quit because everyone is saying ‘no,’ but then, you finally hear that ‘yes’ and it is so refreshing, and that just means so much.”

Message for her fans

For her fans, McGraw said, “Thank you so much for all your love and support. I wouldn’t really be here without you guys. I love you guys so much. Continue to watch what I’m doing, please.”

Closing thoughts on ‘Double Trouble’

McGraw concluded, “I hope people just have a great time watching it. Have fun, sit down with the people you love and your family, and just have a great time. Just turn it on during the holidays or any time of the year.”
