John has starred as Dan alongside Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who for the past year, however, he admitted returning to stand up has been extremely tiring.
He said: “I don’t know about you and I’ve been doing this acting with Doctor Who, what I’ve found with that is when you’re doing something, you’re on set, you’re away for a block of time but you’re kind of in a place and it becomes your own community.
“What I’ve found going back to touring, I don’t know about you, is just that the travel has knocked me for six.”
