Anna May has turned her heartache into musical gold with “Crying at Erewhon” single. #Powerjournalist Markos Papadatos has the scoop.

It has elements of Jewell meets First Aid Kit meets Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan. This stirring acoustic ballad ought to be enjoyed for its beauty, simplicity, and authenticity. It is warm and relatable, especially for anybody who has been through a failing romance.

Her vocals are crisp and pristine, and Anna May is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable, and it shows. It deserves serious Grammy consideration for “Best American Roots Song.” She exuded a tremendous amount of talent and soul. If one has not discovered this bright and promising new female talent, they are truly missing out… they will be blown away by this refreshing single.

“Crying at Erewhon” deserves more than just a passing glance, and it garners an A rating. Well done.
