Starring in ‘Things I Wanted to Say’

On being a part of this vertical drama, he exclaimed, “It was a really, really fun production. I’ve worked with some incredibly talented people on this project.

Working with Kirby Ellwood

On working with Kirby Ellwood, he shared, “My co-star, Kirby Ellwood, is a wonderful actress and person. We had so much fun shooting this.”

“To her credit, Kirby is also so good with social media. I’ve learned so much from her. So, I was very grateful to be working with her,” he added.

Yu-Han Tsai was a great director, and I am grateful for everybody in this production. They put a lot of trust in the casting process. They really trusted me with this character and I felt very thankful to have been a part of this. Everyone did a great job,” he acknowledged.

Playing Whit Lancaster

On playing Whit, he shared, “I like to play a character who is kind of an anti-hero, but you still have to find a way to make him likable. With Whit, I found that he is just very human, in a way. He’s a teenager with an incredible life but everything is turning itself upside down.”

“So, it was all finding the beats of humanity within him. I feel there was a challenge with this role, but I think we did a great job bringing this story to life,” he added.

Lessons learned from the script

On the lessons learned from this script, he reflected, “I don’t relate too much to the character in general terms. I would say with empathy, you can connect with everybody, and that’s the purpose of acting. You get to play a role you want to play, and that’s nice.”

Working with ReelShort

Pablo had great words about working with ReelShort on this project. “This was my second time working with them,” he admitted. “The production side of verticals is so amazing. It is so well-organized and well-timed. Everything is broken down so well, especially since we have to shoot so many scenes a day and so many pages.”

“So far, in my experience, ReelShort is one of the best platforms I’ve worked with. I was just so impressed with how efficient they run their productions. Also, the good thing about them is that they push for human productions as much as they can, so I am very grateful for that too,” he noted.

“I think that’s very important and I am very grateful to be working with them,” he added.

For his fans and supporters, he stated about “Things I Wanted to Say,” “I would love for the fans to be entertained and to fall into the story! I really hope they can do the same with our vertical series.”

“So far, from the fans’ reactions, there are people that have watched it two, three, and one of them, even eight times! I think that’s fantastic. I’ve gotten such great feedback about it.
