The synopsis is: Follows a reporter investigating a soccer star’s shocking transfer who becomes entangled in a love triangle with two rival players, uncovering a dangerous conspiracy that threatens their lives. This vertical show is close to Rosello’s part because he served as the creator.
The storyline is intriguing and vivacious, and it will sustain the audience’s attention for its entire duration. Nicole Mattox is lovely as Maya while Antonio Andrés Rosello is a force of nature as Nico, and Sam Myerson is a triumph as Leo. They all have great chemistry with each other, and it shows. They back and forth banter they have with each other is witty and clever.
Everybody in the cast delivers and is talented in their own right. Prepare to be blown away because the writing is impressive on this vertical.
Most importantly, this project seemed to be a labor of love for all involved. “Rival Hearts” is worth more than just a passing glance, and it garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. Hopefully, this is a harbinger of more high-quality projects to come from Antonio Andrés Rosello as a filmmaker!
As an actor and filmmaker, Rosello is lucky because everything he has starred in is both politically and socially relevant.
