Meanwhile, Queen’s Greatest Hits (originally released in 1981) is the 9th best-selling album of 2020 so far.

The album sold over 123,00 albums by the end of June this year.

Also, Freddie Mercury’s Queen topped The Beatles, David Bowie and Fleetwood Mac in 2019 vinyl sales.

According to the British Phonographic Industry, the band managed to sell over 75,000 units of their catalogue in the last year. Their top-selling vinyl was also Greatest Hits.

Additionally, the band topped The Beatles by quite some way in the Top 10 biggest global recording artists of 2019.

Queen came fifth, beating the Fab Four by five places.

Now considering that Queen haven’t released a studio album in 25 years and only half the band are still active, this is really quite the achievement.

Queen and Adam Lambert’s first live album, Live Around The World is released worldwide on October 2, 2020.
