Viewers remain loyal to Bravo’s yachting reality series Below Deck to gain insight about travelling the seas. However, it’s not all smooth sailing as arguments, partying and non-stop drinking take place, which fuels the drama. This time chef Rachel Hargrove found herself in the midst of chaos with Eddie Lucas.

The ninth season of Below Deck saw Eddie and Rachel finally have a conversation to resolve their issues after there was tension on the boat.

Viewers learned Lucas had been embarrassed by Hargrove’s behaviour in season eight whenever the crew would go out drinking.

However, this became a problem between the two, as Lucas would share his annoyance during confessionals, even though they considered each other to be friends.

To make matters worse, Hargrove only found out about Lucas’ true feelings when the show aired.

When season nine began, she had some resentment towards him, which was picked up by the other crew members.

After a conversation, they seemingly settled the matter.

However, the chef recently revealed she wasn’t interested in maintaining a friendship with Lucas.

Speaking on the Escape to Reality podcast, the hosts mentioned how they loved it when Hargrove and Lucas came on the show as friends

Although Hargrove did accept Lucas’ apology, she disclosed it was due to the tension it caused onboard and she didn’t want it to affect Captain Lee Rosbach or the other crew members.

The chef shared: “Hey, it’s a work environment, I got a lot of s**t riding on this and I can’t lose the respect of Heather [Chase].

“I can’t lose the respect of Fraser [Olender] and I can’t lose the respect of Captain Lee first and foremost.

“Because the fact that the one thing that he said to me, and he said it a couple of times, was that whatever the hell’s happening on his boat, the last thing I ever have to worry about is your department.”
