Known throughout the industry as the “Power Journalist,” Markos Papadatos has accomplished something that most haven’t throughout his 16-year tenure, penning over 17,000 original articles featuring profile interviews with some of the world’s most recognized names across the entertainment, sports, music, and lifestyle industries.

Long Island’s award-winning journalist returns to the stage for another victory lap as 2022 continues to unfold with another award as “Best Long Island Personality.”

Papadatos, who currently serves as an Editor-At-Large for Digital Journal, is also a Managing Editor at Raver Magazine and Senior Editor of the Hellenic News of America. He also is an associate producer of “The Donna Drake Show” on CBS New York.

From Aerosmith and Billy Joel to Stevie Nicks and Emmylou Harris, he has also had the privilege of profiling Academy Award winning talent like Jeff Bridges, Regina King, and Rita Moreno. With his almost superhuman turnaround rate, Papadatos has certainly earned himself the title of “Power Journalist.”

For the sixth consecutive year, the Power Journalist triumphed in the annual “Best of Long Island” competition. He scored four wins in the “Arts and Entertainment” section this year, thus sweeping every category he was nominated in a true Adele Grammy Award ceremony fashion.

These include wins for the coveted “Best Long Island Personality” (for the third year in a row), an honor that has gone to Billy Joel six times, as well as “Best Author on Long Island” (for the second year in a row), “Best Blogger from Long Island” (for the fifth year in a row), and “Best Poet” (for the second year in a row).

“To win all four of these ‘Best of Long Island’ categories is incredible. I am very thankful, honored and humbled for this recognition. What an incredible way to kick off the New Year 2022,” Papadatos told True Hollywood Talk.

He also emphasized his appreciation for his mother, Effie, as well as his former teachers at I.S. 25 Queens and Saint Francis Prep for their guidance and support:

“I say this all the time, but I would not be where I am today without Queens College! Writing for their college newspaper ‘The Knight News’ changed my life, and I am forever grateful to Queens College for everything, it really is the crown jewel of CUNY,” he shared.

In addition to his journalistic capacity, Papadatos’ further exemplifies his passion for the written word, with the countless poems that he has penned, including a timely collection entitled “Poems that Rave: Poetry in Quarantine.”

He is also the co-author of the Amazon bestselling book “Manifesting Your Dreams: Inspiring Words of Encouragement, Strength, and Perseverance.”

His passion and flair for his craft make him an obvious choice for “Best Long Island Personality.”

“Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, to everybody who believed in me and voted for me in all of these categories. I asked for votes, and all of you showered me with more love than I ever thought was imaginable,” he said, graciously.
