Xbox Game Pass January 2022: New games available to download TODAY

The Xbox One games included with Games with Gold 2021 are NeuroVoider and Aground.

The former is available between January 1 and January 31, while the latter is downloadable between January 16 and February 15.

But arguably the pick of the bunch of the latest Games with Gold free games can be found in the backwards compatible titles.

Xbox 360 title Space Invaders Infinity Gene is available between January 16 and January 31, while between January 1 and January 15 Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live subscribers can get Radiant Silvergun.

This is a legendary vertical shooter made by Treasure – the masters of the genre who made classic titles such as Gunstar Heroes, Sin and Punishment, Ikaruga, Guardian Heroes, and N64 cult classic Mischief Makers.

Radiant Silvergun was first released in the arcades before being ported to the Sega Saturn for a Japan-only release.

The Saturn version of Radiant Silvergun is one of the most prized items for retro gamers, with a physical version of the game fetching hundreds of pounds of eBay.

Thankfully, for anyone that doesn’t want to fork out that much for an original copy, Radiant Silvergun was ported to the Xbox 360 back in 2011.

It is available to play on the Series X, Series S and Xbox One thanks to Microsoft’s extensive backwards compatible support.

If you want to play another classic Treasure game, then you can also download the Xbox 360 version of Guardian Heroes from the Xbox Store right now.

You’ll have to pay for this download, with this revamped version of the Saturn classic priced at £3.39.

But this is a fraction of the cost of price of getting a copy of the original Saturn game, which will likely set you back around £100 on eBay.
