Antiques Roadshow guest taken aback by value of broken 125-year-old vases ‘Oh gosh!’
The guest continued: “It’s beautiful. As a child, I think on one occasion I was allowed to take them down to try and recreate the design of the flowers by painting on paper.
“It wasn’t a success, so I’m glad I’ve still got the originals.”
“They’re not signed anywhere but it doesn’t need that,” John shared.
“I know who they’re by, and that’s a man names Desire Leroy. A French artist, he came to Derby as a great all-round decorator.
