Borderlands 3 DLC release date and Director’s Cut DLC launch time latest

Gearbox Software is launching its next major expansion this week, with plenty to expect from the next Season Pass 2 update.

With new modes, missions and Vault Bosses coming this week, PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers will have plenty of new content to explore.

One interesting new feature confirmed for the Director’s Cut is the new Vault Cards and Diamond Keys.

Vault Cards are a new progression system that provides fresh rewards, with each Vault Card offering unique Legendary gear, new cosmetic items, and Diamond Keys.

Activating Vault Cards brings more loot and XP, and to access them, you’ll need to own the Director’s Cut add-on, which is available for individual purchase or as part of Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition or Season Pass 2.

A message from Gearbox explains: “Each of the three Vault Cards is built around a distinct theme, and Fallen Heroes offers items that pay tribute to some of the most beloved, gone-but-not-forgotten allies. We’ll have more info to share on the subsequent Vault Cards later this year, but we’re planning to launch all three by the end of 2021.

“When multiple Vault Cards are available, you can choose which one is active while you play. Once activated, you’ll see an additional progression bar on your HUD sitting just below your Vault Hunter’s regular XP bar.

“Filling up your Vault Card progression bar works just like leveling up: it’s all driven by how much XP you’re gaining. By exploring the galaxy, wiping out baddies, and completing quests, you’ll fill up your Vault Card progression bar in addition to your regular XP bar.”

BORDERLANDS 3 DLC RELEASE DATE NEW AND LAUNCH TIME

Gearbox Software has confirmed that the Director’s Cut Borderlands 3 DLC has a release date set for Thursday, April 8.

We don’t have a time to expect to be released but previous launches have happened around the evening time in the UK.

So we would expect the new Borderlands 3 DLC to be available to play by 8pm BST, on April 8.

A full schedule for when the new content will be available to download could be shared with PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers within the next 24-hours.

Included in the Director’s Cut are three Vault Cards, which are your ticket to upcoming bundles of themed loot! The first of the three Vault Cards will launch as part of Director’s Cut, featuring items that honor some of Borderlands’ most beloved fallen heroes; the remaining two Vault Cards are scheduled to launch by the end of 2021. When multiple Vault Cards are available, you’ll have the option to select which one you want to be active.
