Activision has released its roadmap for Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 6 today, before the big update’s release on September 29. Part of this includes what’s being planned for launch day, including a new Subway to ride around Verdansk. There will aslo be new weapons to wield, modes to explore, and a chunky patch to download. And the good news is that while you’re going to need find more room for Warzone and Modern Warfare, you can look forward to some special going live in October.
And gamers believe this will include the official release of Call of Duty Warzone Season 6 Zombies.
Hints have already been found that spooky stuff would be going down in Verdansk next month.
But today’s official Season 6 roadmap announcement revealed that haunting new content is benign planned.
The aptly named “Haunting of Verdansk” has an official release date set for October 20 and will boast new limited time modes and rewards.
Activision hasn’t revealed what these things will include but there have already been a few leaks that suggests Zombies will be coming to Warzone.
Datamined audio files have been found that reference the undead not being affected by the gas.
This is coupled with other rumours that suggest Warzone gamers will be able to drop into Verdansk and battle the undead in 2020.
According to reports, the new mode would make it possible to comeback as a zombie and have the chance to regain your life if you down another player.
It will also be possible for players to buyback comrades in the normal fashion, although this all remains a rumour at this point.
But with the official announcement of the new haunting expansion on October 20, it seems likely that something is being planned.

Gamers should know that the Season Six update will have a download size of approximately 19.6 – 63 GB for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare and free-to-play Warzone, who are up to date with the latest update.
