Coronation Street’s Malcolm Hebden quits ITV soap after playing Norris Cole for 26 years

    “But I had come to realise that although the mind was willing the body was not so much,” the actor said. 

    Malcolm had taken a backseat due to health conditions, after suffering a heart attack in 2017.

    This led him to reduce his workload and was last seen in the soap in early 2020 when Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) moved into Stillwaters Retirement Home alongside him.
