February 1 marked the 54th birthday of Lisa Marie Presley, who was born nine months to the day after Elvis Presley’s wedding night with Priscilla Beaulieu. After her parents separated in 1972, their daughter would primarily live with her mother in Los Angeles. But during the holidays she would spend time with The King at Graceland with his new girlfriend Linda Thompson.
The former Miss Tennessee model lived at Graceland and dated Elvis until 1976, with the two remaining friends until his death at just 42 on August 16, 1977.
Celebrating Lisa Marie’s birthday, Linda wrote on Instagram: “Happy birthday to the beautiful and talented @lisampresley who was such a big part of my life and heart – and with whom I share so many incredible memories.”
The 71-year-old posted a number of pictures of the three of them during this period in the early 1970s, giving a snapshot into their extraordinary lives.
One saw Lisa Marie out and about, walking hand in hand with Linda and Elvis’ father Vernon Presley.
She wrote: “Thank you for all of the overwhelming birthday wishes from everyone. Like every day, I couldn’t have made it through without these three by my side.”
Riley was fathered by Danny Keough who was married to her mother from 1988-1994.
The 32-year-old’s half-sisters have a dad in Michael Lockwood, Lisa Marie’s fourth husband, to who she was married from 2006-2021.
Elvis’ daughter has had an incredibly tough 2020, when her son Benjamin Keough died at just 27-years-old. Elvis’ only grandson is buried opposite The King in Graceland’s Meditation Garden.
