At 6pm UK time today (January 5) the new FIFA 22 Team of the Week cards were announced, with the upgraded player cards with new ratings available in packs at the same time. And there’s a strong Premier League contingent with nine players from England’s top flight featuring in the 23 player squad.
The highest rated player from the EPL – and the highest rated player in general for the FIFA 22 TOTW 16 release – is Chelsea’s midfield machine N’Golo Kante.
The Frenchman boasts a 92 overall rating for his FIFA 22 TOTW 16 card.
The second highest rated player from the Premier League in the FIFA 22 TOTW 16 line-up is Manchester City’s young England star Phil Foden.
Foden has an overall 87 rating for his FIFA 22 TOTW 16 card.
Announcing the new FIFA 22 Team of the Week line-up, the game’s official Twitter account posted: “The first Team of the Week of the New Year #TOTW 16 is now live in #FUT. #FIFA22”.
Players from other leagues to feature in the latest TOTW squad include Celta Vigo (and former Liverpool striker) Iago Aspas, Barcelona’s Gerard Pique, Villareal defender Pau Torres and Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa.
