Big changes are being made to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription in November, and its great news for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X owners. While there will be a lot of next-gen upgrades going on later this month, there is another change that Xbox One gamers can look forward to. Next week will see EA Play become part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service.
This starts on Tuesday, November 10, with EA Play becoming available on Xbox consoles, including Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
That’s the highest tier of the subscription, meaning it’s also the most expensive to own. But if you do decide to upgrade, there’s a good chance that you will get your money’s worth.
While new Games with Gold November 2020 title will be going live on the 16th, November 10 will see Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order added to EA Play.
A message from EA explains: “What is EA Play? It’s a great way to get more from the games you love.
“Members can access exclusive in-game challenges in select games and rewards, unlock special member-only content, play early trials of brand-new titles, and get instant access to a collection of our best-loved series and top titles. Plus, members also save on EA digital purchases, with a 10% member discount.
“Join now and take on the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of STAR WARS: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
“While there are other similarities to Dark Souls – the way enemies respawn when you rest, and how you lose XP at death – Jedi Fallen Order is much more forgiving and accessible than the From Software stuff.
“Enemies telegraph unblockable attacks by flashing red, and you’ll regain XP back by striking an enemy instead of defeating it.
“If you’ve always liked the look of those From Software games but have been put off by their brutal difficulty, then think of Jedi Fallen Order as Dark Souls Lite.
“It’s also faster and flashier than the Souls games, featuring the same kind of tight platforming and parkour action you’d see in something like Uncharted or Assassin’s Creed.”
November looks to be another month where Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass storms ahead in terms of content while Games with Gold remains in the shadows, without mention of any next-gen upgrades.
