The Genshin Impact 1.6 livestream today
UPDATE TWO: Genshin Impact 1.6 has been confirmed to have a release date set for June 9, with Mihoyo revealing that Kaedehara Kazuha, the first new playable character from Inazuma, will join in and lead the Archon Quest to a new chapter.
The Midsummer Island Adventure main event will be divided into four stages, each featuring unique gameplay. In the first stage, players need to sail on the Waverider and destroy enemy floating towers and encampments, either through firing your boat’s cannon or in close combat.
And for those waiting on the Genshin Impact 1.6 Redeem Codes, Here are the latest sourced from today’s livestream:

- 8A6ABHTH2N9Z – includes 100 Primogems, 5 Hero’s Wits.

UPDATE: The Genshin Impact 1.6 livestream has a start time scheduled for 5pm BST on Friday, May 28. The news was confirmed by developers Mihoyo earlier this week, with the English stream being made available to watch via YouTube.
It should be noted that there will be other livestreams held today that will be available before the one stated above. More details regarding these can be found below, with all streams expected to include new Genshin 1.6 redeem codes. Today’s event will include news regarding new banners and the official Genshin 1.6 release date.
ORIGINAL: The Genshin Impact 1.6 release date is reportedly scheduled to drop around June 8, and this week will see developers Mihoyo reveal what will be included.
Genshin Impact fans will get a closer look at update 1.6 thanks to a new Livestream being hosted by the development team. This has become a focal point of the Genshin release process and usually includes solid information regarding what new Banners will be coming to the game.
They also end with a fresh round of Genshin Impact redeem codes, with different live streams offering different codes. We don’t know how many new codes will be available to redeem, but they usually drop a few weeks before the next major game update.
Sometimes this happens straight after an event ends, meaning there will be a lot of eye on the upcoming Genshin 1.6 live stream. The good news is that the start time and details on how to watch the upcoming Genshin Impact stream have been confirmed in advance.
So gamers interested in finding out what is coming next can plan their schedule depending on what stream they want to watch.
WHAT IS THE GENSHIN IMPACT 1.4 LIVESTREAM START TIME?
Developers MiHoYo has revealed the Genshin Impact 1.6 livestream start time has been scheduled for 5pm GMT, on Friday, May 28. For gamers in North America, that will mean tuning into the official YouTube Channel at the earlier time of 9am PDT.
Another stream will be hosted a few hours before; however, this will not be in English. But for those eager for new, you can expect the translated information to be posted online soon afterwards.
Genshin Impact unveil new character Ganyu
A message posted by Mihoyo adds: “The Special Program for “Genshin Impact” version 1.6 will be officially released on May 28 at 11:00 AM (UTC-5)!
“During the special program, you will discover all the juicy details of version 1.6. In addition to that, you can get redemption codes and other incredible gifts that we prepared especially for you. Do not miss out!
“The Special Program will be hosted on our official YouTube channel.”
There is no direct YouTube embed available now for the Genshin Impact 1.6 livestream, so fans just need to head over to the official page and wait for it to go live.
The new version of the game is expected to drop around June 8, with fans expecting new Banners and five-star characters to be revealed.
During Genshin Impact 1.6, Mihoyo is hoping to launch a number of key improvements, some of which have already been revealed.
One big talking point among fans has been the load limit of the Serenitea Pot, which luckily for us, is being improved.
We don’t know by how much, but it appears this change will be ready for the Genshin 1.6 release.
Mihoyo is also promising to streamline some of the access features around the Pot too, telling gamers this week:
“In Version 1.6, after Travelers have selected an option in the dialogue with Tubby, click return to head back to the previous menu.
“Travelers will no longer need to repeat the dialogue with Tubby to access other options. The development team is hard at work optimizing the Serenitea Pot experience.”
The Pot will also be expanding soon, with the room on the second floor in the Serenitea Pot opening for decoration with the launch of update 1.6.
Fans have also noted that while Genshin is a team-based character game, most of their chums aren’t able to visit.
Unfortunately for those waiting to move in their companions, this doesn’t sound like a feature that will be ready for Genshin Impact 1.6 release day.
But more on the new characters and Banners are expected to be revealed during this week’s big Genshin Impact 1.6 livestream.
