PS Now October 2020 WARNING with PS Plus free games release date

gamers can look forward to some new additions to the official PlayStation Now and PS Plus games lineups for October 2020. The PSN will be getting updated later this week, with Sony set to reveal its PS Now plans on the same day that this month’s PlayStation Plus games are released. So if you’re a subscriber to both services, you can expect at least five new games to become available to download or stream this week. Three new games are expected to be announced for the PS Now October 2020 lineup, with one being an indie title.

It should be noted that September saw four new games added so there’s a chance for a few more surprises.

And while we don’t know the tech giant’s plans just yet, we do know when they will be revealed.

Based on the normal schedule, the latest PS Now games are expected to be announced on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

This is the same day that the new PS Plus games will be released onto the PlayStation Store and is part of a bigger PSN refresh.

The good news is there will be plenty of new games to choose from but this will come with a downside.

That’s because at least one PS Now game will be disappearing from the library around the same time.

This gives players just a few more days to stream two games before they disappear between October 5-6, depending on timezones.

PS NOW GAMES LEAVING IN OCTOBER

As confirmed by Sony earlier this year, some games added to PS Now will only be available for a limited time. Meanwhile, some games can only be downloaded on PlayStation consoles, while others remain stream-only. The games being removed from PS Now this week include the following:

WATCH DOGS 2

You are Marcus Holloway, a brilliant young hacker and the latest recruit to the San Francisco arm of DedSec. Equipped with an impressive array of skills and tools – including an RC car and a drone – the whole San Francisco Bay Area is your playground, from Silicon Valley to the downtown streets. Break into any electronic device, computer system or vehicle, collect information on every citizen, and infiltrate the infrastructure of an entire city as you fight alongside the hacker community against an immoral establishment.

JUST CAUSE 4

Epic action awaits as you wage war against The Black Hand, a hi-tech private military organization ensconced in the exotic open-world of South American country Solís. The group are packing military-grade hardware and have found a way to weaponize extreme weather from towering tornadoes to tropical lightning storms. But as rogue hero Rico Rodriguez, you have unparalleled aerial mobility thanks to your instantly-deployable wingsuit and parachute. Add in your fully-customizable grappling hook, growing arsenal of weapons and the ability to drive — or pilot — any vehicle and you’ve got the makings of a blockbuster adventure.

Meanwhile, the new PS Plus games arriving in October include the following titles:

NEED FOR SPEED: PAYBACK

Survive thrilling heist missions, partake in metal-crunching car battles, perform dazzling setpieces and more in this four-wheeled action blockbuster. Set in the fictional, corrupt gambler’s paradise of Fortune Valley, choose from three different characters – each with their own unique skills – customise your rides and take on an open world’s worth of events as you seek revenge on those who wronged you.

VAMPYR

Life is Strange developer Dontnod Entertainment challenges you to embrace the darkness with this 1918-set, third-person action RPG with deep narrative choices. Play a doctor turned vampire ghosting through a London gripped by violence and fear. Use your supernatural abilities, as well as man-made tools and weapons to fight or flee the forces of evil and vampire hunters. Save the city’s populace or feed on them to become stronger, but giving in to your bloodlust can have grave consequences…

These new PlayStation Plus titles will be arriving on October 6 and will be available to download until November 2.
