Fans are ecstatic ITV’s The Masked Singer is back on their screens, and Traffic Cone’s identity has left viewers puzzled. Lorraine Kelly and presenter Ria Hebden think Drag Queen River Medway is under the mask after spotting a very telling clue.
The presenting pair sat and chatted about the hit singing contest, with Ria, 39, certain it’s RuPaul’s Drag race star River Medway.
River Medway, real name Dexter Clift, was a contestant during season three of the drag reality show, can perform and is no stranger to dressing like a Traffic Cone.
During a dress as your hometown runway challenge on RuPaul’s Drag Race season three, River came as an iconic Medway statue with a traffic cone on its head.
As a comedic young Drag Queen, River had fans in laughter as she walked the catwalk, stopping to pose as the statue and point at every opportunity she could.
“Now you’ll remember from RuPaul’s Drag Race last series, now River Medway, she had the most iconic outfit,” Ria said as she talked about The Masked Singer predictions.
Lorraine added while looking at photos from the show: “Oh, that was the best because we’ve got a traffic cone very similar to that in Glasgow; she was the statue. Haha, I love it.”
Lorraine has been a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race which could have her favouring that guess over Ria’s second option.
She also teased the 62-year-old Scottish presenter that former professional footballer Chris Kamara could be behind the mask.
The most recent celebrity who was revealed was Pat Cash, who had fans guessing for weeks on who was behind Bagpipes.
He joined previously exposed talented celebrities Will Young, Gloria Hunniford and Heather Small.
After a recent tweet blunder, Traffic Cone has also been pegged as comedian Rob Beckett.
The Masked Singer continues this evening, and each singer gets to pick their song for the first group episode.
