‘UK vaccine works’ Matt Hancock hits back at EU ’12 wk dose gap gives STRONGER protection’

    On Tuesday it was announced that France would follow Germany and Austria’s decision to not administer the AstraZeneca vaccine to anyone over the age of 64. The countries stated that this is because there is no enough data on the Oxford vaccine’s effectiveness on over-65s.  

    However, the Health Secretary backed the UK’s decision and stated that the three-month gap between AstraZeneca doses leads to greater protection from the coronavirus.

    Mr Hancock told Good Morning Britain that the Oxford vaccine “works and it works well”.
