Angela Rayner launched a damning assessment of the UK Government and Health Secretary Matt Hancock on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, referencing claims made by Dominic Cummings against Boris Johnson and his cabinet. However, the Labour Party‘s Deputy Leader was shamed on social media for changing her stance on the former Chief Advisor when it suits her agenda.
Former MEP, Martin Daubney said: “Rayner was the loudest voice calling Cummings a liar last year.
“Now, when it suits her agenda, she believes every word that comes out of his mouth!”
Another tweeted: “The unelected believing the unbelievable.”
A third wrote: Is this the same woman who didn’t believe a word out of cumming mouth a few months ago and wanted him sacked but suddenly he’s an honest and trustworthy gentleman?”
A fourth said: “Wasn’t @AngelaRayner one of Cummings biggest haters last year who didn’t believe a word he said?
“When it suits her agenda she believes in him.”
A fifth tweeted: “All change when it suits Labour, luckily everyone sees through it.”
On Wednesday, Sir Keir Starmer unleashed a scathing grilling on Boris Johnson during a fiery Prime Minister’s Questions as the Labour Party leader was armed with a number of allegations made by Dominic Cummings.
“His decision to delay for 40 days from the SAGE guidance on September 21 to October 31 will be seen as one of the single biggest failings of the last year.”
The Labour leader also stated: “I note that the Prime Minister’s careful not to refute these allegations.
“What we’re seeing today is the latest chapter of a story of confusion, chaos and deadly misjudgments from this Government.”
“From a Prime Minister governing by press release, not a plan.”
