Princess Anne replied: “You might do if that’s on the basis you assume that everybody’s read the same newspapers and seen the same headlines and assumed they were true.”
“Yes,” Chris replied before Anne remarked: “Moving on?”
“Yes,” the ITV News Royal Editor agreed sheepishly.
Chris shared the clip on his own Twitter page as he praised Princess Anne for manoeuvring past his question.
