In a shocking scene viewers finally learned the real reason behind Beth’s hatred for her adoptive brother Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley).
It was revealed, he was the reason Beth couldn’t have children and start the family she wholeheartedly desired with Rip.
As youngsters, Jamie accompanied his then teenage sister to have an abortion but in the backstabbing scene, he withheld information and consented for her to unknowingly go through sterilization.
The pair have since had a horrible relationship and in the season finale, Beth may have finally got her revenge.
While Beth is a far cry from Kelly’s personality, her ability to portray the Dutton is a credit to her talent and fans couldn’t imagine another actress playing Beth.
