While the Western drama recently premiered their season four finale, production have decided to give fans an insight into the history of the Dutton family with a prequel series.
Y 1883 transports fans 150 years before the events in Yellowstone and followed John’s great-grandparents as they travelled from Texas to Montana for a better quality of life.
With casting for Horizon set to take place this month and production pencilled in for August, it’s likely fans won’t see the film until 2023.
Yellowstone seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Paramount Network in the USA and on My5 in the UK.
