A Christmas Carol release date: When is the new Scrooge tale coming to cinemas?
In this version, from directors Jacqui Morris and David Morris, Simon Russell Beale lends his voice to Ebenezer Scrooge, while Martin Freeman plays Bob Cratchit.
Andy Serkis is the voice of Marley’s Ghost, while Oscar nominee Daniel Kaluuya voices The Ghost of Christmas Present and Lesley Caron is The Ghost of Christmas Past.
Carey Mulligan voices Belle, Scrooge’s lost lover, while Dame Sian Philips is the Narrator.
The dance cast is led by BalletBoyz founder Michael Nunn as Scrooge, with further dance work from Jakub Franasowicz, Russell Maliphant, Karl Fagerlund Brekke, Mikey Boats, Grace Jabbari and Dana Fouras.
The official synopsis from the filmmakers reads: “A Christmas Carol follows a Victorian family as they prepare a toy-theatre for their annual performance of A Christmas Carol.
