Tracker accounts have shared news that points to the next PS5 stock update coming from Amazon UK.
A message from the PS5 Stock Alert UK Twitter account has revealed some background changes to the PlayStation section, which could point to a new drop coming later today.
The message reads: “The PlayStation 5 Console was invisible on the search page for Amazon UK since last night.
“You could only view it if you had the link for it; however, it is now back on the search page. This could be a sign for the drop tomorrow morning.”
Other stock trackers have also shared messages pointing to a new Amazon UK drop on May 19, with PS5 Instant telling Twitter followers this week:
“Amazon releases Digital slightly after Disc – likely drop today or tomorrow. Recommend adding PS5 to your wishlist then moving to basket.”
This is expected to begin at around 8am BST and might last less than 30 minutes depending on how many consoles will be available to buy.
Early reports suggest that 8,000 consoles will be available to buy this week from Amazon UK.
Meanwhile, more PS5 stock is being released by Argos and GAME, but it might not drop until June 2021.
From what has been shared so far, GAME might have more consoles through cancellations, although there aren’t expected to be a lot.
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. Amazon UK will be one of the next stores to release PS5 stock, which is expected to happen around May 19.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. GAME recently restocked the PS5 and is now out of stock again.
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings. Argos is not expected to receive any more stock until June.
More PlayStation 5 stock is expected through 2021 but supply is expected to drag badly behind demand, which will remain high.
