Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire date, start time, new gameplay, music and PS5 teaser

2077 developer CD Projekt is getting ready to hold another Night City Wire event.

Likely to be the one of the final preview events before launch, the upcoming Night City Wire stream will give players a fresh look at the upcoming action role-playing game.

Broadcast live on Twitch, the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire event takes place on September 18 at 5pm BST.

The news was announced by CD Projekt on Twitter, alongside information about what will be included as part of the event.

According to the Cyberpunk developer, the September 18 Night City Wire will give fans a look at Night City itself, as well as the gangs that roam the streets.

Fans of video game soundtracks will also be pleased to hear that the third Night City Wire features a look at how music was created for the game.

“Join us on Friday, September 18 at 6PM CEST, at Twitch for the 3rd episode of Night City Wire!” reads a CD Projekt tweet.

“We’ll take you on a tour around Night City, check up on its gangs, and give you a sneak peek into the creation of #Cyberpunk2077 original score.”

With the recent hype surrounding the launch of the PS5, there’s a chance CD Projekt will also reveal more about the next-gen upgrade.

CD Projekt previously confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable on next-gen hardware like the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

“We are happy to confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be backwards compatible with both next-gen consoles!” reads an old CD Projekt tweet.

“Your PS4 copy of the game will work on PS5 on launch day. Anyone who buys the game on Xbox One will be able to play their copy on Xbox Series X when the console launches too!”

Following the recent PS5 release date reveal, CD Projekt reminded fans that the game will essentially be a launch title for the different platforms.

“With the recent reveal of next-generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles’ launch dates we wanted to remind everyone that #Cyberpunk2077 will be playable on those systems on November 19th,” CD Projekt tweeted. “Almost like a launch title, right?”

Perhaps we’ll catch a glimpse of the next-gen Cyberpunk 2077 upgrades during the show.

Cyberpunk 2077 is described as an open-world, action-adventure game set in the futuristic location of Night City.

“You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality,” reads the official description.

“You can customise your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.”

As the description suggests, different players will have a vastly altered experience based on their approach to gameplay.
