A statement from M&S said: “Sparks is our customer reward scheme.
“Sparks gives you the chance to receive little treats and thank yous, get your shopping for free and we’ll make a donation to your chosen Sparks charity every time you shop.”

Those hoping to visit branches can secure a safe spot online or by using the app.
Customers will be given a 30 minute slot and will check in with hosts at the store entrance at the time of their booking.
Those visiting are still able to walk into shops but booking ahead could get rid of the need for waiting in queues.
Mobile Pay Go
The app also allows customers to have a checkout-free shopping experience when picking up food items.
When visiting Foodhall stores, shoppers simply scan their items, pay using their pre-saved card details and go without needing to stop by the checkout.
M&S Stores Director Helen Milford said: “We want to help our customers shop with confidence – especially as we head towards Christmas – and that’s why we’ve accelerated the rollout of Mobile Pay Go to all our UK stores.
“With the current restrictions in place, making shopping as easy and efficient as possible is really important to us and to our customers. Mobile Pay Go helps do just that – it’s quick, contact-free and means fewer queues at our checkouts.”
Shopping in stores
When visiting stores, new safety measures have been put into place by the retailer.
These include sanitising stations at the entrance of stores and there are signs in place to encourage social distancing.
Personal protective equipment has also been put in at checkouts and provided to members of staff.
For the first time, Marks & Spencer will not open on Boxing Day this year, however shopping hours have been extended in the run up to Christmas.
Around 400 stores in the UK will stay open until midnight on December 21 to December 23 giving shoppers extra time to prepare for the big day.
CEO at M&S Steve Rowe stated: “Throughout the pandemic, our colleagues have gone above and beyond to deliver for our customers and as we enter the busy festive season they are doubling down on their efforts once again to help our customers deliver the Christmas magic for their families and friends.
“This has been a uniquely challenging year for everyone and this Christmas, the celebrations we have, will be more precious than ever.
That’s why in the run up to Christmas we are opening longer hours and have accelerated the launch of new digital services such as Sparks Book & Shop to help our customers prepare, but it’s also why we have taken the decision to close our operations on Boxing Day, so that our colleagues can enjoy more special time with their loved ones.
“This is a big decision, but it is absolutely the right one given the incredible effort everyone has made in the most challenging of circumstances.”
