The Grand Tour: Richard Hammond recalls air ambulance experiences: ‘Building a reputation’
Although the team tried their best to adapt their vehicles to the rough conditions, Hammond operated his Ford at a crawl and still managed to lose some vital components along the way.
On whether he needed to be airlifted this time round he said: “I didn’t have to this time.
“I thought I might at one point, in fact at several points I thought ‘something’s going to get broken here, and not just the car’.”
Thankfully, all three motorists completed their journey unharmed, and Hammond, Clarkson and May are currently working on plans for their next special episode of The Grand Tour.
