Ranvir Singh was a hot topic on tonight’s It Takes Two when presenter Rylan Clark-Neal was joined by Craig Revel Horwood. The Strictly Come Dancing judge was asked about his favourite performance from the series so far and he spoke about Ranvir and Giovanni Pernice’s steamy Argentine Tango and how he spoke to the Good Morning Britain presenter backstage about her dance routine.
“What routine has really stood out to you this series?” Rylan asked.
Craig replied: “Well, it’s one of my favourite dances actually, the Argentine Tango.
“And I haven’t seen anyone like Ranvir do it the way she did – footwork wise.
“I could not believe how clean, how tidy, how precise her footwork was, we’ve never had that,” the judge continued.
“And I always make allowances for people not getting the footwork – because it’s quite impossible.
“It’s a very difficult dance and it’s not a dance all the pros have trained in either because it’s not part of their curriculum.
“She did all the passes beautifully, her feet were lovely and together in passing through, and her weight changes were fantastic.
“And I did – after the show – [I] commended her on it, because I was blown away by it,” Craig added.
“Out of the remaining ones, who do you think is slightly struggling, but you know we can get more out of,” he probed.
“I probably think Clara [Amfo],” the judge revealed. “Only because she has had good weeks and bad weeks.
“Some people are great at all the dances, some people are great at just some of them. Not everyone is going to have a dance that suits them.”
He added: “Her Charleston was exceptional, I thought the choreography for that was absolutely amazing, she danced it brilliantly, it suits her body type, it suits her emotionally.
